Goodbye Charlie Bright
The film starts a theme tune that is quite uplifting and a medium pace.The Black screen is constrated with the orange writing.
The First Shot is a three people midshot and this helps the audience to realise that thease are the main charecters.
They are against a pinks a pink background which makes them standout more .They all look quite tanned and are wearing
summer clothes which set the season that this movie has been set in . Paul Nichols who plays charlie is situated in the middle
which may hint at the fact that he is the main charecter.Charlie Bright and the charecter on his right both laugh at the sqame
time which may show their closeness while the charecter on the left looks quite worried and the first thing he says is 'the last time you did this
you got the shit kicked out of you' which reinforces the fact that he is worried.The fact that the charecter on the right says that 'last time we did this i was a kid'
shows that they have been friends for a long time and although they still look very long they do not regard them selfs as kids anymore .
The establishing shot is used which shows that the live on some kind of housing estate and the title is situated in the middle
so the audiences eyes are drawn to it and the three boys can be seen running naked past it .The audience would not havce guesses that this was going to happen
as a few seconds ago they were fully clothes which also heightens the unpredictability of their nature. As the boys become out of focus the title fades out .
The close up of the old man helps to highlight the youth of the 3 boys. The boys are then seen running and the camera pans down towards their feet to show the fast pace that they are running at and also
to show that they are of a careless nature as they dont have any shoes on. The soundtrack is still playing and when it says 'so come on jump' charlie jumps which shows that the music they chose is relevant.
The three boys that they take the ball of seem disorintated and not quite sure what is going on .They are then shot chasing the boys round the corner through the park and back into the housing estate
the man is then seen again sitting down and smoking his pipe completly unmoved by what is going on this may hint at the diffrence between the erderly and the youth and the man gives off a been there done that kind of impression.
The ball then drops in to the shot followed by the three boys the camera then pans round to the other boys who have just jumped down .The camera then uses the convetional conversational shot formula for to go back and forth from charlie bright and his boys to the others
this helps to show that this is their way of interacting and as they are still young they wont standaround and talk about it they have to chase each other around in the heat .
charlie and the dark haired charecter are then shot running towards the ball while the other charecter stands back which again highlights that they are not as close to him.
the two groups are then put against each other again and charlie's group looks quite vunreble against the others as the have no clothes on and there is only 3 of them compared to the fully clothed 6.
Charlie then sneaks through a bush and the clothed gang cannot find them.
The three are then shot from birds eye view while the run across grassland while naked which may mean that the whole situaton is completly natural to them.
The tower block is still in the shot and a fully clothed friend meets them with their clothes.
